THE MEDICI FORTRESS

A jewel of sixteenth-century military architecture, theMedici Fortressof Arezzo stands on the hill of San Donato.

TheBastion of the Spina, triangular and pointed, looks towards the city. It is the only one not to have the heart shape, typical of the Medici defensive structures.
